    Let’s talk about headliners

No, I am a member from AZ that needs an in bed tire carrier for my son's '77 as he has a rear mount tank. But if I do end up coming that way, and you do need something from either AZ/ So-Cal, Id be happy to bring it.

    Let’s talk about headliners

I assume the large holes are for the overhead console. I also need to figure out how to mount a 'burb console in my CC. There are a few write-ups on here but they all show without the headliner and using a bracket and everyone I TT says you don't use the bracket on a CC but haven't seen any...

    Let’s talk about headliners

I put the LMC one in my son's '77. It was ok on fit, not bad, but definitely not great. I need to figure out how to reinforce the one for my CC since those aren't reproduced. Some say to do a light coat of fiberglass?

    85 C10 Cruise Control Bracket

I'm sure he does, I had/ have one but it looks like it's a 2 piece bracket and part of it I am using for the throttle cable. I was trying to find just a good universal throttle cable bracket for mine so I could get him my cc brackets but haven't found one yet.

    Burlwood trim

Might be difficult to match. You might be better off choosing a woodgrain you like and replacing what you have and adding it to your other trim that needs it.

I'd pay $1000 just for the bed floor with all the supports and flanges. Rest of truck I'd toss.

    What will bolt right on?

Drive to Phoenix. I find complete housings for $100 to $250. There is 2 guys that part out C10 trucks here and the 10 bolt is the least desirable and cheapest

Rare, Rare, Rare '73 C30 w/ fleetside wood bed

I think you might be mistaken. No reproduction parts at all are available for the factory fleetside wood bed other than the wood and some of the bolts. Less than 3000 made. I've never seen one at a truck show and look every time and have visited the largest Chevy truck shows in the US.

    85 C10 Cruise Control Bracket

Pretty sure I got this piece. I'll look tomorrow in my storage. I got a totally stock motor out of an 84 or 85 C10 and didn't use any of the brackets for ac, smog, cruise, etc.

This is probably a bad idea, but I'm too cheap to pay for a tow.

I don't know when receiver hitches were invented but I've seen lots of photos from the 40's - 70's of trucks hauling very large, very heavy loads on bumper. No, I wouldn't go 100's of miles, on a freeway or freeway speeds. I've rope/chain towed cars/ trucks/ and even a motorcycle. Stick to quiet...

    Question for C30 Dually owners.

I appreciate all the responses. I think I am going to skip it unless one falls in my lap. I'm not going off-road, just maybe a muddy campground. I'm sure I can get by with just a tow strap. It would take 5-8 AAA pull outs to offset the cost of it at the minimum and if I'm getting stuck that...

'77 C10, Need Vin Plate Info Help

It came out nearly perfect. The dimensions were just a a few thou off but it looks factory. Obviously, an LEO is going to be able to tell that the VIN plate has been off the truck during a repaint but again, it looks right and my VINs match.

Zero Rates on the Front Axle

Loving the truck with those wheels! I put the zerorates on my K5 when I had it. I liked that it had a larger contact surface then the leaf spring alone on the pad on the pumpkin. Without them, on some springs, there is very, very small gap at the front and rear edge of the pad that is...

    Front frame bent?

Are you just trying to get it back on the road or is this a vehicle you care about and want done right? Personally, I'd find a true frame shop, not a bodyshop with a computer, tow it in and let them tram the whole frame. I had it done on my son's and it was about $250 to set-up and $250 to...

Thank you all for your replies. My concern is pulling a trailer up a boat ramp, wet campgrounds, getting out of a rut, etc.

    Question for C30 Dually owners.

Hi, quick question for those of you that have a DRW truck....As I understand it, DRW trucks never came with lockers/ posi, etc in the rear axle due to tire wear concerns. How often or have you experienced any traction issues on soft ground, slippery boat ramps, etc? I have a '90 CC DRW and am...

1989 Chevy V3500 popping ecmb fuse when turn key

For 10-15 years I owned an '89 Jimmy (K5) and if my memory is correct, it would pop the ECM fuse every few days, and occasionally would immediately pop one as soon as installed. I was having to buy packs of 25 of that particular size about every month for 3-5 months while having this issue. It...

‘Roadster Shop’ Chassis for Square Body C10s

I visited them about 8-10 years when I was looking for a frame for my car. Probably close to $20-25k with brakes, suspension, etc by the time you are done. I ended going with a different manufacturer but they definitely were my 2nd or 3rd choice.
