Does anyone use Gear Venders unit with TH350?
I'd probably add the 700r4 and skip the GV based on your concern about highway driving. It should be cheaper and easier. If you were towing regularly, then I'd go with a GV where you can take advantage of splitting and OD. I have a 700r4 in my '90 and have plans to add a GV so I can split...- Bennyt

I have always loved these trucks and its great to see another getting back on the road. I searched for a white one for years but never could find one at the right price or time. If you own an older vehicle with a carb and can buy ethanol free for 50 cents more...buy it! I can tell you that since I switched to ethanol free on my small equipment like mowers, pressure washers, go carts, etc almost all of my problems cured. No more run on, fires first kick/pull. Frame fix for hitch?
I was asking as I think I have a piece of frame left from when I shortened my son's truck I could have donated to the cause. These work great for patching. Take a unibit and drill out the hole and weld in place the plug.- Bennyt

Frame fix for hitch?
Check CL for totaled trucks being parted out and buy pieces of the frame. This to me looks like a minor repair unless I am missing something? Where are you located? I see ads on CL regularly and tons of people have shortened their frames from long bed to shortbed so should be easy to find.- Bennyt

What Are They??
Just an FYI...if you are going the custom route, you can either weld nuts inside or install the bolts before the wood and then you won't see them. I did that as well as used the hidden fastener strips on my son's wood floor fleetside and it cleaned up the look.- Bennyt
