Can you tell if a block has 1 or 2 piece rear seal without opening it up???
You can pull the inspection cover. The 1 piece has an aluminum plate that would be visible. What parts are you trying to order? Other than the seal and oil pan gasket, you'd need to tear it down to know bearings/ rings, etc- Bennyt

I'd go white. My '63 Nova is black and it looks incredible. Unfortunately, I can't enjoy it as it constantly has to be kept clean, scratches if you breathe on it and shows every speck of dust. I can't imagine owning a black vehicle that actually gets driven and used. -

Can your granny open your trucks door?
There was guy near me that installed OBS handles on his squarebody dually. I'd look at some of the handles on the 5-10 ton trucks and firetrucks/ construction vehicles. There are some that would probably look ok. -

I've never seen a broken squarebody door handle even on 50 year old trucks. But i have seen plenty of newer trucks with broken ones. -

Somewhere in my garage, I have a set of C10 Billet handles from GSI and if I recall correctly, they feel smoother and lighter pressure. I've never compared them side by side by will see if I can rig up a scale to measure this weekend just out of curiosity. But yes, my granny can open the door... -

Hardware/fixing specs for 75 front end? Replacing clip with original and not sure what I need for the job.
You may need to do frame repair to mount the 70's bumper. I believe that they had to be cut for the 80's stuff to fit correctly. Yeah, I bought some bolts from Mar-K and the shipping was pretty high. I called and asked if they could just ship it in a usps flat rate and they said no. Unfortunately they were the only ones that had the bolts. $3 a bolt for splined carriage and I needed 45. I'd also look at Bruce Horkey...- Bennyt

Look at these 2 steering gear boxes. Whats best.
Both are great. If they were the same price, buy the Borgeson. But the Borgeson is $150 more. I bought the CPP for less than $300 buying direct from CPP. I'd also suggest upgrading to the Borgeson shaft. I prefer the double CV version.- Bennyt

14 bolt brake drum question
I think you have a 50/50 chance of these drums fitting. On the '76 it should have had the drum behind the hub and the 80's had the drum in front of 14BFF but I do believe even though backing plate and hubs were different, everything else was the same parts. If he went with a disc conversion, is he selling the entire brake package with backing plates, shoes, wheel cylinders, etc? If all that looks good and its the correct size (diameter and width, and hub mounting), and it all looks like 9000 miles on it, I'd offer $50 for the complete brake...- Bennyt
