    Cab Light Mount Questions

I found them called 'well nuts' and they apparently bulge when you thread a screw into them....like the cheesy wall anchors in drywall. Will probably use those since thats what comes with the GM kits. Now to find whatever that door mirror uses. :hat:

    Cab Light Mount Questions

I think these anchors need drilled out? The bottom one IIRC is the one with the steel brace. Seems this has been covered but I dont remember where.

    Need an EFI recommendation

Under $1000? I paid $1400 for mine 4 yrs ago and they are now double that. Might have to look for a used one.

    Cab Light Mount Questions

I wonder if nutserts could be used for the door mirrors also? I realize I digress but that will be a future issue. This truck is like death by a thousand cuts to me. lol

    Cab Light Mount Questions

A couple of basic questions about adding cab lights - devil's in the details as they say. Got these mounts: One on the left is a GM original. One on the right (hardware store) is the same thread and size (trunk is a tad thicker) - but rubber instead. I like the rubber one but it would require...

    Leftovers - Part 1

If you need better pics, just say. PN 18033823 - PN 18033346 - (second pic - one end is sitting under the other) I think there is a joiner like piece - looks like a metal tube with a keyway in it that the smaller knobs snap/slot into. I -may- have a spare you can have if you need it (and...

    Leftovers - Part 1

Why do you think I'm selling things? lol I need gray epoxy primer (back ordered now for weeks) and dont have the 2 bills to get it. Maybe if I offer a free set of Ginsu knives with every purchase, that'll stir things up?

    Leftovers - Part 1

I have a whole tote full of leftovers and mis-ordered parts from Project Millstone. I'll do them a few at a time. No takers they 'go away' another route. Nothing is in stone so make an offer if the price sounds out of line. Inline front stainless brake lines for 2-4" lifts that were too long...

    Two tone paint

My favorite more common scheme is the center stripe like Grit Dog's. Mine came with the lower color - what I'll do if I wussie out on trying to do the center stripe. But if I knew I could pull it off, this is how I would paint my truck - my favorite scheme......3 tone. :hat:

    Cracked frame/shock mounts help

Excellent thread-info. My frame is ok, but I ordered the reinforcement kit from ORD in a preventative mode. Would you use a larger piece of steel (like a glorified fender washer) on the backside to reinforce/support the shock mounting hole? I did this when I made mounting brackets for the rear...

    Cheap defective aftermarket parts….lol

My neighbor about 20 yrs ago had a 77 Vette that winked (one of the popup headlamps wouldnt work). He narrowed it down to a solenoid of some sort - went to the dealer for a new one. Didn't work so he took it back. 3 trips and 3 bad parts later, the parts guy hands him a case of them and says...
