Which posi unit do you like?

I got everything for my 10-bolt through Quick Performance, they support tons of different axles and have the best deals out there IMO. I have the Yukon Duragrip in my truck (~425hp 5.3, T56, 3.90 gears), it's a clutch type so it's quiet and operates very smoothly but locks every time I put the...

Starter problems after doing 5 speed swap

Hmm. Yeah, I'd call American Powertrain and go through everything with them. Until you pull it apart, we're just spitting darts

Nice!! Thankfully I have access to one at work but someday I'll have a shop with a lift in it...someday

    Burning hei coils

First off, what brand coils are you running? If they're MSD, throw them in the garbage.

Also, 2 of these cars have popped up on my FB lately. The ‘73 is ROACHED

Backup light switch, I've replaced and still no lights any help would be appreciated

As stated above, what are you working on specifically? Cuz a manual and auto have completely different setups. I'd assume an auto. First to check is always the bulbs, then grounds, then with the switch on (truck not running), play with the shifter to see if you can get the lights to come on. You...

Starter problems after doing 5 speed swap

So does the starter grind/make horrible noises or everything functions correctly and you're just worried about it only engaging halfway? Cuz if it were a 168/153/wrong starter thing, it would make all kinds of terrible noise when trying to start. If it's purely just engaging half the teeth but...

Agreed. My mom has a '12 Charger R/T and outside of maintenance and one failed alternator, it's been trouble free for them for over 150k miles now. My dad's '14 Ram is like mine tho, it's been a nightmare. He bought it at ~140k and it'd already had a bunch of repairs (receipts in the glovebox)...

It didn't even dawn on me to hit you up before we left. Life's been so crazy lately, maybe next year lol

It's all relevant really. My buddy has a '13 with 185k and has had less issues than I have, though his is not leveled as high as mine. They're cream of the crop as far as comfort/options/actually driving them IMO. But I like to mod stuff and these are really difficult to do that with. And I...

    ‘83 ‘84 GMC Grille on eBay @Streetdreamer

That's been my point this whole time! Even sold in smaller numbers, there's money to be made there.

    Getting inside the cowl

What do you mean cutting off the grill? It unbolts/unscrews. Then there's large holes that you can get into with your arms and a paint brush/caulk tube, whatever you prefer to do to seam seal it.

    Recognize this?

It's the brace inside the door for the mirror IIRC

Yeppp. That's why I'm going back to an '05-07 Classic Chevy or GMC. I've had 7 of them and know them back to front up and down

    Need a bit more oomph...

^This. Depending on how you use the truck, gears would be my first choice. If you have something like a 2.41/2.73/3.08, changing to a 3.55 or 3.73 would be your best bang for your buck. But again, until we know more about what you already have and how you plan to use the truck, we can't make...

Whole front end rebuild at 95k miles, everything was completely worn out (had a balljoint fail and found everything else). Granted, it's had a 2" level most of it's 71k miles before I bought it and then I threw on a 3" but I've had several NBS trucks that were cranked to the moon with their...

    Dually guys, need your opinions!

Good thing is, at least they're fiberglass so they're not horrible to repair versus a steel one with all those complex curves and whatnot

    Need a bit more oomph...

Well, you need to know what you have before we can give recommendations. Find the numbers on the engine and post them up here. Also any pictures of the engine/front of the heads/intake/carb/etc. Gotta know where to start before we know where we can go. You can't just slap a random cam in or...

Damn. Yeah, I've had that convo with many guys about buying flat faced/tuck wheels vs stretching fenders. I always push them to go with the modded wheels or a narrow axle cuz it's VASTLY easier.

Hydro Clutch Pedal Assembly...from an S10?

^This. They're definitely not the same. Idk what your budget is but Level 7 Motorsports sells a whole clutch/brake pedal box package that's ready to go. I've got it in my '85 and it's awesome.

    Harness bar

Found 'em. Like I said, they make all kinds of versions. The purple truck is my buddy Maccie's. He's had their harness bar in that truck for a couple years now and loves it This is their OBS display they had out

    Harness bar

As stated above, it's not ideal for a street car, but done correctly with a full cage, it's still safe as long as you're conscious of the limitations when driving. That said, there's no reason you can't do both. I plan to put a harness bar/small cage in my truck eventually (working toward and...

    Dually guys, need your opinions!

Yeah, that's what we've run up against. The main guy that calls the shots isn't opposed to it but he says there just isn't *enough* demand. After doing lots of research and polling at various shows, I agree with him. Yes there's a need, but it's a small amount vs C10 stuff. Too small for us to...

I'm not gonna lie, I will miss my Ram when it's gone. They're great trucks, just maintenance hogs (or at least mine is) and finicky
