    Old chevy did not have spreaders, just little metal reinforcement on the covers. We stole them from Corvairs and VW's.

    FYI the 14 bolt has several different drum sizes 11, 13, and at least two width sizes, 2.5 and 3" I think.....Bigger is better

    Like Ali-20 said, Install the trans with the motor, and put the trans dipstick tube in first, as it is very difficult getting it in there after it is in. Also use two orings on the tube, helps seal.

    Have taken mine to Bonneville a few times, way more salt, wash the heck out of it when I got home. The guys down there have some spray on stuff they use B-4 going out, but I don't know what it is. Hey man, make some memories, enjoy your family, then wash her down.
