Are my gears to high for the setup?

700R4 started shifting really high RPM
Is that a stock setup? I did not know that a 6.2d had that transmission. Reason, I have a TH400, but have a 700r4, would really help going down the road at 70, I don't go over 65 the way it is.- Craig Nedrow

HELP!!!!! Took my truck to town, 19 miles, purred like a kitten. Went out to start it after I was done, and no glow plugs... messed with the wires, tap, tap on relay, but to no avail, so buttercup rescued me. Geez Todd, I took my 53 five window, all stock with a 235 engine all the way to Gainesville Florida, Via Bakersfield. That is the truck, after it was painted and motor swap. More done, bed on and bolted, need two more bolts though. All fuel lines hooked up, switching valve hooked up. Tested the valve, and I can here it switching, and the gas gage moves, However forgot to hook up the + wire on the passenger tank, so may have to prop up the bed to get at the tank...- Craig Nedrow

Nick Craig my friend said that is the way they build them, shift at lower rpm instead of (his red line is 7500) high to save the trans? The car revs to 7500 easily as his valve train is shaft, roller, and springs are I believe around 200 closed and 425 at max lift which I believe is around .650...- Craig Nedrow

I have also been working on the bed, cleaning underneath with a wire brush after repeated washings with ZEP purple industrial cleaner, works good. Hey...what's the big idea..??
I have a Q-jet on the 73, it's ok. Like the Holly 750 on the 454, but now I have this....Cry baby!! Next best thing to fuel injection, but a learning curve. QF is an 850 DP. She shore is purdy.- Craig Nedrow
