So there were several ways that GM wired the choke, some use a relay. Your '84 most likely without the relay. Pull the plug off you may only find 2 spade pins, not 3. The two blue wires, (hard to see) are jumped together in the plug.- Turbo4whl

With the nail head type, just reach in with needle nose pliers and lift the pin a little. -

You need to remove all the bed bolts, then you can jack one side up some. If you only unbolt one side you will bend metal. Here in the rust belt bed bolts do not unbolt well. That wheel needs a horn ring... and 3 note horns to match! Looks like a period correct medium duty truck wheel. -

Just run your new metal line right to one tank. Use rubber hose to connect to the tank sender. 3/8" hose and 3/8" metal tube. Two mini worm drive hose clamps. @jlynn79 Hi James, with the info you and your dad posted, you have located the problem. Most likely the line is not kinked. Since the truck sat for some time, 7 years quoted, the old fuel left in the steel line dried. What is left is a sticky goo. Trying to draw fuel through drags some rust...- Turbo4whl

1995 454 has 2 timing tabs?
As engine bays got filled up with more accessories such as AC, a smog pump and even a second alternator, using a timing light was hard to do. The second timing tab, at 45*, was added to some timing chain covers. The balancer included should have 2 marks.- Turbo4whl

This can be a good idea, but a 40 plus year old truck wires loose their color. Wires also get added or replaced. @fast 99 has a good idea about when and if there is even any power to the wire. Also as he said, good idea is to find out why the truck does not idle smooth. One wire with no place...- Turbo4whl
