    No start - fuel issue?

That's one of the first things I'd check too, trash or plugged fuel pick up in tanks then work my way forward. I had an Olds where it would do the same thing, it was the mesh screen in the fuel pickup in the tank.

New to this forum and looking for best options for a new radiator

If you have a local radiator shop, they can order you a Chinese one for cheep or you can get yours recored for three times the amount of a plastic/aluminum one, at least that was my experience earlier this year. The brand of my new one is called "Performance Radiator". Make sure you're starting...

It may be the lamp if it's original. Although that's not easy to access either.

    Power Steering pump

I installed a reman a few years ago, never had any problems, buy quality. You can rebuild too, your choice. Excellent idea changing hoses, some people cheep out, change them, do the job right the first time. Take photos of the disassembly if you're not familiar with the process. Make sure you...

6.2 For A Daily Driver? What Are The Downsides?

We had 8 military pickups with 6.2's donated to us at Denali National Park in the early 2000's. They all had insulated boxes in back with diesel heaters to keep the guys warm in back, 24V, capable of sharing coolant and electrical, you could plug them all in to one another, the whole nine yards...

My favorite. I especially like opening the hood without opening the driver door!

    Alternator not charging at idle

Sounds like a faulty diode in the alternator. Also check for a loose belt and poor grounds.

    LMC Parts

I've had no issues with LMC but prefer to buy something in person like a local parts store in case I need to return it or do a physical comparison. I purchased a new ignition switch last month from LMC for my '75 K/20 and was impressed with the quality. I probably order one or two items a year...

What have you done to your square lately??

Replaced the fuel pump on my '75 Chev K/20 yesterday. It's been a couple of decades since I've done that job before! No leaks, good to go for the rest of my life (I hope).

    Fuel Pump?

Thanks for the info. I'm headed into town this morning to pick up a Delphi brand one. I didn't see any AC Delco ones for sale.

    Fuel Pump?

Well, it's time to replace the original fuel pump on my 1975 350, it's leaking. Can anyone suggest the best brand/quality mechanical pump that's available? I haven't had to change a Chevy mechanical pump in decades!

    I'm a legend

The only new GM products I've ever bought were a 1984 Chevrolet Citation II and a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo and they still took me on. I think you ought to pply.

What have you done to your square lately??

I agree with you! I bought this car from the original owners a few years ago. They kept it garaged and maintained. He never had any issues with the engine and I haven't either. When I mention it has a diesel, everyone says it's a POS, not this one. People don't know how to care for the older...

What have you done to your square lately??

Sorry about not answering about he car. It's a '72 Olds, Ninety Eight coupe. It has about 88,000 miles on it. I also have a '72 Toronado next to it with about 78,000 miles and an '83 Toronado diesel with 105,000 miles. I collect Oldsmobiles but can't do much with them anymore as I'm retired and...

What have you done to your square lately??

I just finished up originally flushing, cleaning the radiator (original 1975) replacing upper and lower hoses. The radiator was worn out, I had to purchase a new radiator (Performance Radiator made in China with plastic tanks and aluminum core). The new radiator inlet is a 1/4" smaller in...

Yes, I received mine too. I don't know what I'll do with the umbrella, probably give it as a gift to someone. I do use the tape measure and hat. It seems like I got something else but can't remember. It's nice getting stuff like that once in aa while.

    Dana 60 Death Wobble

After reading all the above replies, I agree with loose/worn parts. I was thinking loose lugnuts, unbalanced tires and or worn tires, worn wheel bearings.

    350 to 292 swap.

I did a 292 to 350 swap in a '68 C/10 back in the '70's but don't remember a whole lot about it except the motor mount issue which wasn't hard but the 350 sat back a ways and needed a longer shroud. The 292 was a good engine but was using oil when I bought it. I drove it for a year or two until...

Questions about '74 All Time 4wd, HELP

I had my '75 K/20 converted several years ago but wouldn't have if I hadn't had the front driveshaft take out the tranny pan caused by a worn U joint. It's safe to drive on dry pavement. The front driveshaft always turns but is not engaged in 4x4 until you shift into 4x4. I didn't notice an...
