4wd axle under a 2wd truck?
The 4x4 axle housing should have slightly shorter shock mounts and it has a 6-lug wheel bolt pattern. But yeah, it bolts right in.- bucket

There were different thickness bars from factory. Like a thick bar from a C30. These days, with the popularity of C10's there's a bunch of new aftermarket bars too, many of them with fancy end links instead of just bushings.- bucket

I do believe there is an adapter to put a 2G on a quadrajet intake. You will need one for a "large bore" 2G carb, which is what was used starting in '69. However, I don't recommend it. I've now fought two different large bore 2G's (the only two I've owned) that insisted on having an off-idle...- bucket

Dana 60 BOM # confusion
Imho, the numbers aren't important at all. Is it passenger drop? Is it Chevy or Dodge perch spacing? Single wheel or dual wheel? Have you pulled the cover to verify the ratio? Other than verification of the ratio, the rest of that is easier to see than looking up numbers, imho.- bucket

There were a couple compressors used in the 70's and 80's, but I don't remember if they use the same bracetry or not. I'll dig up some pictures of my old '86.
