BFG KO3 vs Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T

Siping can also increase the amount of tread 'squirm' though and can be very undesirable at higher speeds.

BFG KO3 vs Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T

I'm not sure. Between all the trucks (actually only two of those specific ones now) and all the miles and all the tires, I really can't keep track. But a couple of the BFG's were just installed earlier this year. I wouldn't be afraid to try out the Mickeys. I know that other models are very...

Tires for Stock Rims '79 K20

Yeah, Goodyear puts the wrangler name on basically every model. @AuroraGirl do you remember the thread a while back were there was an in depth discussion on the different rim types? I haven't found it yet.

Vintage Air Gen V (5) or replace existing compressor, etc., for 1987 R20 Suburban?

Light duty and heavy duty use the same throttle body. Iirc, the 4.3 TB is identical to the small block TB's too.

BFG KO3 vs Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T

Oh yeah, my bad. I read KO3, typed KO3, but my mind told me KM3. We've had a couple sets of the KO3's on the work trucks. For snow performance and longevity, they are nothing to really write home about. Comparable to all the other A/T type tires we have run. They do tend to wear well, however...

BFG KO3 vs Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T

I believe @77 K20 is the one on here with a lot of snow experience and the K03's.

Vintage Air Gen V (5) or replace existing compressor, etc., for 1987 R20 Suburban?

The 454 throttle body has larger throttle plates, higher #/hr injectors and also uses the other style of GM IAC valve. The one fastened with a couple machine screws, rather than the whole thing threading in.

    Interior cabin trims

The screw holes aren't dimpled simply because the factory used self tapping screws. They went where they went, basically.

    tranny mount/crossmember- urgent help needed

They don't go between the crossmember and frame, that's just where people often put them when they lift the truck. As an attempt to help driveline angles. Do have an Ace Hardware? Many locations tend to stock heavy wall steel spacers in the nuts/bolts isle.

1984 Suburban Interior Panels the go over the Fenders

They aren't reproduced. You'll either have to track down nice ones or make new ones. Nice ones are out there for sure. But it can be very hard to find them because when a truck gets parted out, the Burb-specific stuff is of little importance to the seller. Everyone wants pickup truck parts.

Yeah, but they asked for opinions so I'm gonna give mine  Stock wheels and hood!

Tires for Stock Rims '79 K20

Lots of tire sizes will fit properly. Although, I do question the need for a "proper" fitting tire when you are choosing what seems to be the lowest quality tire you can find. Imho, a quality tire that may be slightly "too" wide on a certain rim is a far better choice than a low quality tire...

    327 vs 350 for a daily driver

I dunno, when I was growing up, seeing those magical "454" fender badges was a super cool thing. Still my favorite. But 327 is indeed a nice change of pace in a world of 350's.

    Tire Size

It has 16's on it, not 16.5's? For the stock rim and stock ride height, a 255/85/16 is a good fit. It's tall and skinny, like a narrow 33" tire.

1992 RS Camaro. First car for Der Burger.

My buddy that I spoke of, he bought an '86 Firebird new, in the same gray color. He ordered it and got all the cheap options, but none of the expensive ones. It has a very strange combo of options. It has gauges, S/E type interior, block heater, locking fuel door, HD cooling, HD suspension...

Wow! It's a Firebird S/E! It's one of those things that's extremely rare, but not necessarily desirable due to the rarity. But one things for sure, you will probably never find one of those hoods again! That's really cool.

And in the 70's there were Lincolns with GM A/C and power steering pumps. Manufacturers make curious decisions sometimes.

What have you done to your square lately??

I think I've had my Quincy for about 10 years now. It has performed flawlessly and is American made. I didn't have to order it either, the local farm store had it in stock. Just a 60 gal, but the pump performs so well that an 80 gallon tank would not have benefitted me at all, even for bodywork.
