My other special vehicle is a 1967 Pontiac GTO and keeping it the way it is. It was handed to me 10 years ago, was my late older sister's whom bought it in 2003. She loved Pontiac GTOs and remembered the song Little GTO. Lost her to domestic violence and it was a difficult loss for my parents and I. Her boyfriend whom is in prison serving a life sentence without parole shot her in the chest killing her instantly during an argument. Plus I took her 3 daughters in which I told her I would do this if anything happens to her. I had people saying I should this and that to it and said no. Knew she would roll in her grave if I did. She put a cardinal around the rear view mirror post which was her favorite bird which is still there. Even drove it to her funeral behind the hearse, everyone that knew her also knew about her GTO. At the body shop getting a few spots fixed and repainted right now

They removed the glovebox and sent it to someone that is good at air brushing too. I know they will put a tribute in memory of her on with a cardinal on it. The person is a domestic violence survivor and she gives back helping families out. Every time I see a cardinal fly, reminds of her. Know she is looking down saying do not worry about me and this song reminds of her,

@Blazerlady Sorry to hear about your sister. It is awesome you are honoring her by keeping the GTO in good condition.

People are telling me what I should do with my '87 GMC V3500. My dad bought it in '88 and it has been in the family since. Dad passed 3 years ago and I am restoring the truck. "You should put a bigger cam in it", "You should put on aluminum heads", "You should do ......". I want it stock and how it was.

Look forward to seeing the pics

I have a lot of good memories of her, one was when I was 17 weeks before turning 18.Had a boyfriend that introduced me to the wrong crowd, said I was heading the wrong direction in life. Knew shew was right, ditched the boyfriend and luckily the Marines recruiter was at school one day. Talked to the Marines recruiter giving me a pamphlet and his business card letting me think it over two days before I turned 18. She saw the pamphlet and business card in my room and was proud of me. I have a picture of us at Marines boot camp together with her wearing a proud sister of Marine t shirt
