Hi guys . So I pulled tranny and did a clutch and more so everything is back together and clean... was soon greasy! Fixed the oil leak
So now my last step is bleeding the clutch master and slave system. I am using a vacume pump and peddle is getting much better think I'm almost there. So my question is the fluid coming out is very dark grey. do I need to keep going until I pull out clean fluid or is that color gonna hurt anything?

Welcome from Austria. Flush it till fluid is clear when you are at it.

Yes, clean fluid.

I have found the fastest way to bleed those systems is reverse bleed. Remove all the fluid from master with a turkey baster, leave lid off. Using a new clean pump oil can filled with brake fluid and vacuum tubing attached open slave bleeder. Pump fluid in until master is full or overflowing. May have to do it twice.

Thanks guys it took about 4 or 5 rounds with the vacume pump on the bleeder on the slave . I built pressure then broke the bleeder loose. First time I used a vacume pump works great and by myself so that's a plus. I bought the good one I definitely think it's worth the money. Clutch feels great , drives nice

I could never get vacuum bleeding to work. For me it always pulls air around the threads of the bleeder rather than drawing fluid out.

On my last British car clutch I had to drip-bleed the clutch to get any pedal - no matter how much we did "have person 1 pump and person 2 open/close the bleeder" we did it would not get that last bit of air out. I had to dismount the slave and hang it on stiff wire so the bleeder was pointing absolutely straight up, and then left it dripping for 20 mins. After that, great pedal appeared.

Sounds like master on a LM Mustang. Can't be bleed on the vehicle. New are full of fluid.

I pull the slave cylinder off and hold it with the hose end up. Then I push the piston rod in and release it several times until bubbles quit coming up in the master cylinder.

You need someone watching the MC to watch the bubbles, and to make sure the fluid level doesn't drop too low.
