454 V Belt Sizes

Hey gang,

Newbie here just got my first Squarebody. Its a 1979 C30 Dually, with a 454 out of a 77' truck in it.

I'm driving it home with an ear to ear smile and BAM she shreds all the V belts off.

I had to abandon the truck on the side of the highway and it is currently 45 minutes from my house... So I am hoping to show up with some V belts that will be the correct size.

I am struggling a bit to find a base line for V belt sizes in the other threads. This is a non air-pump truck, but does have AC. I'm not particularly worried about the AC belt for now, I just need a belt from the WP to the Alternator, and a belt from the crank, WP, and power steering pulley.

Can you guys guide me to a size/part number that may be a good starting point? I was unable to measure the distances with a string before I left the truck... DERP!

My '78 C10 Suburban 454 without air/smog pump uses three belts. AC (which also goes around the PS) is a 15580. The other two are both 15460s.

Thanks Tonimus, my AC belt goes around my PS as well.

The alternator belt seems like it needs to be very short, being that it is right next to the water pump it connects to. Crank/WP/PS seems like it should need more real estate. Without being in front of the truck it's hard to imagine them being the same belt.

The alternator belt should also go around the crank.
