I'm thinking about getting some new 15x10 US Mag Indys for my '77 K15. 4" BDS lift, 35x12.50 tires are being used. These seem to only be available with 3.5" of backspacing. Does anybody know if that will work OK?

They will rub unless you trim the lower fenders some.

Looks like I can get them in 15x9 with 4.5" BS... would that be any better?

Yes, definitely. Depending on your driving habits and truck usage, there's still a good chance they are going to rub. If it's just street use and depending on the specific tire, you may get away with it.

This is 35s 9” wide 3.5 bs.
Literally in between your 2 choices you mentioned.
5” of lift and it’s barely daily driveable without rubbing.

I forgot to state, I used to run the same BDS 4" springs, but with a 16x8" wheel with 4.25" (I think) backspace and 305/70/16's. They measured a true 33". With very hard use, they would contact the rear, lower corner of the fenders.

With street driving and a "35" that really measures around 34", you may be fine. Maybe possibly need to trim an unnoticeable amount from the lower fender flange.

I still want those wheels with that backspace lol.... they look badass. Where exactly will I need to trim the fenders? And will I still be able to use the original wheel opening trim if I do it? Or would it be better to just get a 6" lift instead of 4"?

It depends on how you use the truck. If you just street drive it and the most flexing it sees is driveway entrances, then it will only maybe require a very small amount of trimming. You can trim off a fair amount before it starts to get noticeable with the wheel arch trim.

Here's the area, highlighted in red:

^^^Oh, that's with the 9" rim with 4.5" backspace. If you pick the 10" rim with 3.5" backspace, you'll probably be better of with a 6in lift unless you trim a bunch.
