I need advice on what size wheels I can fit on my 1981 c10 fleet size stock suspension height

I want to put 22” Forgiatos
How wide can the front and rear be without modifications?

What backspacing ?

Any help will be appreciated thanks

22" wheels look awful on old trucks. It's your truck you can do to it whatever you want. Stick with 17" or 18" max and safe yourself a lot of problems with rubbing, steering angle, ride quality. Just my 0.02$

Unfortunately you're not gonna get much help here for that. The best thing to do is to buy a wheel fitment tool, play with that and see what'll fit. Then call up Forgiato and talk to them.

@bluex may have some insight?

The widest you can go on the front and rear will have a lot to do with how tall of a tire you want to use.

This, if you call them they might be able to point you to a local dealer that has the tool so you don't have to spend that money too.

It's very dependent on tire size an suspension mods. Buy the tires, or even some cheap used ones in the size you want an mock it up. If these are custom order wheels you will sign an release an onve they are built they are yours even if they are wrong. Since you provide the measurements you have to make 175% sure it's right before you send that order in. It's worth investing in these items or finding a shop with the wheel tool if your custom ordering wheels....

Also I'm not familiar with that brand, so if these aren't custom order an they have off the shelf options like American racing or us mag those will fit an you shouldn't need to do a mockup especially at stock height. Those wheels are also returnable, unless you put a tire on it.

Signature blocks says location: Texas. Engine Size: 305. I guess not everything is bigger in Texas.

Not surprised when the first 3 posts offer no help an only criticism for what he wants to do to HIS truck.

My therapist calls it enabling and says its not healthy. It's better to be honest and prevent potential trauma in the future.

This explains alot...

If you're even remotely serious, pretty sure they meant with people you deal with irl an not about what people want to do with their trucks that you'll probably never meet or see irl.

I looked the wheels up, they are not my style but it's not my truck. I don't like the fake bead lock black wheels with mud tires you see on every 4x4 now a days that never leaves the pavement but hey what people spend their money on is their business.

As far as being scared of 22s an ride quality, that's a joke. Lots of stuff comes factory on 22s now an if you keep a decent sidewall height (40 an above) it won't be that bad. Short sidewalls are stiff on a 17, has nothing to do with the wheel size.

I love this site but some of yall need to scroll past threads when you know you don't agree with the topic. A helpful counterpoint is one thing, but just bashing because it's not your style is rude. Would you guys do this if you were in a conversation with people you just met at a car show?

My apologies. I didn't mean to come across that way. A good friend of mine put 20 high dollar wheels and low profile tires on his truck against my better judgement. Didn't make it a week and hit a pothole and destroyed a $500 wheel. Anyways, thanks for calling me out. Maybe I should spend some time on Pirate 4x to keep me humble. If you know that site, you know what I mean.

When you are shied off from people you don't know having different opinions you are may be a bit thin skinned? I would take it as an opportunity to think about if what I want to do is that great.
