Trans braces not installed when motor went in, can I fix with a little welding/fab work?

So the trans to motor mount k braces were not installed when everything went in. I’m thinking of making a bracket that bolts onto the motor mount to fix it after the fact. Don’t want to delete them.

I'd just make a new bracket out of flat stock and weld it to the mount. Then use your existing rods.

I think it depends on your build, trying to keep everything original would be nice and tends to not create problems done the road. Please post photos of what you end up with.

Install them, support for tranny case, very necessary for longevity.
