Can anyone tell me if I can use the new gasket that my carb rebuild kit came with? The only difference is that lower inner hole.
I would guess it’s pretty important to have one that’s exactly the same but want to make sure before ordering a different one.
Thank you!

(Everything else in the kit is exactly the same as the old stuff)

Check to see what passages those holes line up with in the carburetor. If the carburetor plate is solid in those areas, then the gasket is fine. If there are holes that line up, then you need to get the matching gasket.

You can tell by looking at the old gasket, those holes are in an area of the gasket that doesn't get used on your specific carb.

Wrong gasket.
Post your carb info and we can find the right one.

How is that the wrong gasket? Those two extra holes are in an area of the gasket that doesn't get used.

Part consolidation is a thing. Having extra holes to nowhere won't affect anything. It's only a problem when openings are sealed by the gasket. Have seen this on nearly every carb I overhauled. It's fine, use it as long as no holes are covered.
