Hello Everyone,

My 1987 K10 has the factory dual tank set up. It works good, switches from tank to tank just like it should. Fuel guage works accurately for each tank also. I noticed today there is a fuel leak near the tank selector valve dripping directly on the exhaust. The leak was under the tank valve selector cover on the passenger side. I removed the cover and found the leak. It is coming form the plug that goes into the valve. The plug has two pink wires/one with a black stripe, two tan ( yellowish ) wires/one with a white stripe and a green wire. I thought they were electrical wires. The leak is coming from the tan/yellowish wire. Are these small lines fuel lines? I followed the line and it goes from the tank selector switch and splits off two wires that go to each tank. i thought this plug was electrical. Is it possible the selector valve is leaking into the electrical plug? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Don't know my next step to fix this.

When that valve fails internally it can leak from the electric plug.

@Shoote those are definitely electrical wires, NOT plumbing! Either you have an external leak and the fuel just looks like it is running out of that wire or the valve has failed internally and fuel is running out of the plug.
