I'm trying to figure out where these splash shields go. (#3 below)

You must be registered for see images attach

Have not purchased them yet.
I see that LMC and several other suppliers sell them for 81-91 Square Bodys. I've owned 7 of these trucks over the years but I can't ever remember seeing them. Maybe it's just an old age brain fart! Do they go from the rear of the inner fender to the firewall? Seems that that might be a good place for them since I just spent the better part of 2 days fixing rust around the bolt reinforcement that attaches the inner fender to the firewall.

Thanx in advance,

Bruce

The piece outlined in dashes labled "1" if that's what you're referring to goes along/ on the outside the frame inside the front wheel opening to stop stuff splashing into the engine compartment. That "notch" cut out is around the shock if that helps you visualize where it goes

Item #3 goes behind the front fender up onto the bottom of the cab, laying as pictured.

Thanx mtbadbob,

I thought that was probably right but can't figure out why I never saw them before. Does everyone throw them away or do they get broken?

They get broken, and the rubber wears out. The cab ones are just plastic they crack were the screw clips attach. I'm not sure why the put the cab shields on the trucks. They seem to collect dirt which turns to mud. I replaced them, because of the high water we get here in the Houston area.
