Does anyone recognize this radio?

I bought the truck with it installed. When I push the left knob in to turn it on, I get the time display which then it slowly fades away.

I haven’t checked the install yet.

A link to the manual would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Interesting. I was just looking at one just like yesterday. Was in my 86. Doesn’t work.

Factory radio 83-87. AC DELCO 2700 ETR

Im having issues with mine ('86)... It puts out good sound, but the front screen has a LED that doesnt always work, popping when adjusting the volume knob, and the signals to the speakers randomly goes in and out.

I'd like to fix it if not too expensive, but I haven't found much info yet.

The same radio that was in my Dad's '83 Olds 98 Regency. I know these are coveted. Probably the only factory HU I'd use.

There is a couple of guys on feebay that restore these.....iirc around $300 but they are like new when they're done.

I read there are a few guys you can send your radio to and they will refurbish it for you... Id hope that would be cheaper than flee bay but who knows... Problem was, when I looked at a couple of the companies the links were either dead or had little to no current info.

Thanks for the responses guys. After wrestling that beast out of the dash, I found a post it note with “Passed final QC July 8, 2024” on the back. Musta been restored. Now I’m not sure if my problem is with the truck wiring or the stereo.

Just curious, when you took it out were the tabs cut to bend back to be able to fit a single din unit in there? Mine were and they don’t look butchered. Almost a factory look. I can’t remember when those started coming out.

No tabs. Held in place with the knob nuts and a support that connects to the bottom of the dash.

Update. Once I had the radio out (what a PITA) I realized the PO hadn’t connected one group of wires. It connected all without installing the radio and it works fine so far.

Now to find some 80’s rock cassettes!

Move the controls back & forth to lube up knobs, make the static go away & the channels come in better.
