Adding on to my shop for almost two weeks now, 85% done, but rain and snow for the next three days. Think I can get done by Sunday, the body is sore and tired. Installed over 800 screws on the roof and siding, legs and hands feel it. Will be nice to get my "stuff" under cover. Bolted to the original steel bldg, posts set in concrete. Cost 700 dollars for beans and dimensional, but most bought at auction for CHEAP, score. Roofing and siding were the biggest cost. I think total cost will be less then 3000, 14X40 ten foot height.

I am currently building a shed for my sawmill. Instead of setting the posts into the ground I used Simpson brackets and concreted them into the post holes. With the sawmill I was able to cut all of the posts, beams, and all of the other lumber myself.

I inhaled so much concrete dust from doing the post holes yesterday...last night I sneezed and blew a cinder block out of my right nostril.

Your shop/shed looks wonderful and it looks like you live in a beautiful area as well.

Thanks Andrew and Zach, I can't hardly believe I live here either, it is beautiful. Good rain last night, so Jan and I spent all day cutting dead trees and burning junk wood, (nails, fencing). Feels good to get stuff cleaned up. We are taking part in an online auction which will help get red of a bunch more equipment and "stuff". Money goes toward the drive train in the K20, and the rear suspension for the 64 Nova. There Perry that should make you happy!. Want to get both on the road next year. Feb the K20 will be down a year, but should have all the suspension, drive train, plumbing and wiring done. Then when it gets warmer, paint and body. 80% done with body work on both the K20 and the Nova. Have the radio and speakers etc for the K20. Keeping busy and feeling more motivated then I have for a long time. Doing some shootin' CZ 457 W Leopold Mark lV 4X16 excellent setup.

So how much land do you have there? That's always been a dream of mine, have enough land I can't see anyone around me and get to do anything I want

Hey Zach, we have 230 at the moment, but next year we are trading the Wa Fish and Wildlife for a 40 they have and selling 160 acres, That will leave us with 120 acres, which adjoins a 240 owned by family. Surrounded by state land so no houses, but lots of deer and elk. Also they build the fence, (we run cattle in the spring.) Also we have springs, solid gold for us. Yes it is nice, but also work.
More work done on the shop, backside nailers installed, tin installed, also did the front side of the shop, and did the soffit, facia, and corner trim. Pretty windy today, but grateful to be able to do the work, figure about two more days, so should be done this week easy.

Looks great! Also jealous of the scenery you get to see every day
Aside from too many people makin’ the Seattle area difficult, WA is a great state!
Out in Selah where he lives is pretty much Gods Country. Foothills of the dry side of the Cascades.

Why thank you brother. You'll welcome to visit, bring good beer. I vote the right way, TRUMP, wear my Trump hat to town right along with my 9mm. Fly our US flag, police flag and Trump flag, that about covers it.. My wife drives her bug everywhere with her dog Stash, likes to go to home depot with her pup....I know, were just fun people!

We really do need to connect, Craig - my other project is a 64 Chevelle, and I'm a gun nut, too. We must be brothers from another mother!

Mine is Olympic, great bldg, *** bad customer service. Love my steel bldg, but Olympic wanted almost 30,000 for another 20 feet. So I ordered, got cancer and had to cancel. There is NO WAY to get out of the contract unless life threating situation which mine fell under, but still cost me 7000,00 for......nothing.
