I painted my new doors and installed my west coast mirrors, only to chip the paint under under the mirror brackets. What's best way to fix this or just to prevent it from rusting? Is there gasket material I should put underneath to prevent this from happening on the other side?

Could carefully clean it and reshoot those areas. Otherwise maybe using a gasket maker on under it to seal it and wipe off around it. Like Gray permatex

I had some left over paint, so I touched up the underneath. I had a rattle can made up same color to touch up. Of course I over sprayed a little white on the blue. I got my buddy to pick up some gasket material. I'm gunna mount the mirrors and hopefully get my doors and hood on today. Still have the old ones on yet to keep her weather tight.
