Does a seal exist for my factory 1977 c10 sliding window

I just pulled this seal out of my 1977 C10 Silverado. I'm 95% certain it was the factory because it's so beat-up and had the matching aged chrome lock strip. I've been finding mixed answers on what is the best solution for this fix. I don't have a preference whether it has the Chrome locking strip or not. And if I replace it with a later model OEM sliding window, will that work, too?

I think I see a flat lip on the backside. That style (where there's a flat lip that goes in the gasket and then the glass is in a frame that protrudes out a bit) typically uses the same seal as a solid back glass. Hard to say from those pics, do you have any with it on the truck?

the photo attached below was before I pulled the window but I have a precision seal with the Chrome lock strip, and if I try it, it will not fit correctly. It does have a lip on the edge where it seats inside the seal it's probably a little bit thicker than an eighth of an inch

Yeah, that's just a regular rear window gasket like the solid back glasses use

So should I order a different one other than the precision one? Because everything I do I can’t seem to get it to fit right. Seems to be too big for the window

Nope, Precision is the best brand. They are a bear though, even my glass guy says how hard they are to install. I don't mess with glass cuz it's such a bear, well worth it to pay someone

Can confirm what huck said and your seal should fit.
Same as our 86 that I put new Precision window seals in.
Yes it appears to be longer than necessary or what will fit. But it does fit. Once the corners are fit in tightly and any “stretched” sections are relieved, it’s exactly the right size.
If it’s any consolation, the rear window/seal is much easier to install than the windshield.
And…nice looking truck!
