I was adjusting timing from 10 to 12 initial while I was working on my engine I drive it around it didn’t feel right so I switched it back it stalled out couldn’t get it to start back up had to get it towed home after recharging battery and testing alternator both good it started right back up but it has a weird shake and clicking sound to it now and weird feel at low rpm before take off.
Could starter be problem ?

Make sure the distributor cap is on square and tight with all the hold downs in place. Make sure the wires going to the distributor cap are tight. I won't say impossible, but I can't see a scenario where a starter would make you stall. I do wonder how tested your alternator because an alternator could cause a stall no start and dead battery.
