Question on upgrading gauges

On my 82 C1500 I currently have the gauge cluster that is blank/empty in the bottom left corner and I'd really like to have the clock that came on some models, but I want to keep the original look, I'd like to get a donor cluster like this one from ebay or a junkyard with a clock on it and getting new gauges from LMC, since the only things that work are the speedometer and the gas gauge. Anyone know if this is do-able and easy?

I did it for my 74 C20 cluster. It had idiot lights, ammeter and no tach. I used the Lmc gauges. I put in a tach, small fuel gauge, voltmeter, electrical oil pressure gauge and temp gauge. It's all plug and play, you only need the matching printed circuit which is also available from Lmc.

A used clock without a "guarantee to be in working condition" can be a crap shoot. Plus think about what is the newest used gauge cluster, 30+ years old? I've purchased several gauges & printed circuits from LMC and never been disapointed.

Definitely Lmc for the gauges, yeah I had a Monte Carlo many years ago and went thru several used clocks, none of them worked, one came off a 74 Camaro that I saw with my own lyin' eyes that it worked in the Camaro, when I put it in my Monte it petered out for some unknown reason.

An original cluster with tach would put a fuel gauge in the lower left and a tach where you now have your fuel gauge. Looks very balanced, and there is no clock to go bad.

That’s what I’d do if I was gonna drop some $ on replacement gauges.
The last working squarebody clock bit the dust in 1993 probably …lol.
I got 2 of them. Every other gauge works great. Both clocks probably been dead since 1981 and 1990 respectively.
