New Member from Upstate New York

Hello -

New member to this forum from upstate NY. Square body truck bug bit me about 5 years ago. Look forward to learning from site and offering some of my trials/tribulations from working on my 87 R10 and 79 K10.

87 R10 is original paint (cab forward) 32K original mile truck from TN i purchased in 2019 and 2nd registered owner. I have upgraded with QA1 tubular front control arms along with adjustable coil overs as well as rear disc brake conversion. Drive train 100% stock and nice custom auto sound retro radio and speaker system.

79 K10 is all original 68K miles and purchased from Colorado Springs back in June. I am 3rd registered owner and was owned by original owner up to 2023 and off the road since 2018. Mechanically i have gone through everythign and done typical maintenance (plugs and wires still original)! Looks like 1 repaint and original interior. 350, 350 trans, 3.73 gear and fulltime 4x4. Love the truck and A/C now working and installed custom auto sound retro radio and speaker system.

I'm in awe.... My first pickup was a 79 K10 with almost that exact same two tone blue paint. Had the same chrome package and the front rubber push bars (18yo me thought those looked so cool). Fulltime 4wd too. Only difference was mine was a long bed and had the SBC 400. I always regretted getting rid of that truck because me and my dad put a good amount of work into it. Anyways enough about me, beautiful pickups!
