huh does the metal dryer line hold up ok? That's the piece I'm missing, that looks great if it doesn't collapse under load!

Resurrecting an old thread. I am moving the air ducting from drivers to pass side. Is there a problem leaving the plastic air inlet piece on the core support open or not connected to anything? Any problem with directing air to the air inlet tubing with the opening on the otherside allowing air to flow thru to the engine bay.

Mine has the same provision on either side. There's a "plug" in the core support that you can just knock out and the plastic cage pops right in. I actually moved mine from the P/S to D/S to gain room around the battery.

i knocked it out on the pass side. was just wondering about the opening getting covered on drivers side. I may try and tack the knockout back in on the unused side.

The air in front of the core support doesn't have a direct path to the opening. It just gets compressed and creates a high pressure zone that makes it easier for outside air to get to the air cleaner. Leaving it open is probably beneficial for under hood temps.
