As bad as indiana roads are, there are sections of I69 in Michigan near Lansing that are 10 times worse.

I dunno, I've driven all over Michigan too (along with pretty much every state in or near the midwest) and I think in recent years, Indiana takes the cake for crap roads in general.

Back in late 90's I got a 2 axle from N.Y. that only had single brakes. To register in Ct. I had to add brakes. At the time there was a trailer Fab. guy right in my town so it was cheaper to replace the axle than add brakes.
Obviously makes a good deal of difference and is less wear on everything. You WILL feel the difference.
