Hello all, GMSB Buddies. I hope all is well.
Guys, y'all have some really great memorabilia!
I love old stuff. I have this small medicine bottle I found at an old garage sale with some other misc stuff.
A few years before I found this bottle I was digging where the old El Paso city landfill used to be and I had found some Empire Bottling Works El Paso, Texas bottles and a couple of pre 1914 and pre-hobble skirt Coca-Cola bottles from Magnolia Bottling works El Paso, Texas also. Well, being young, I did not know what I had, so I sold them really dirt, dirt cheap later to this gentleman Anthropology Professor Bill Lockhart. Well, he knew what I had... long story short, he got them and flipped them $$$$....
When I called him on this bottle, he came to our home on a snowed Christmas Day to take pictures, measurements, information where I found it, etc.
He couldn't het here fast enough.
It missed being in his book about medicine bottles of the southwest.
It is close to 100 years old now.
He has written several books on bottles and is well known nationwide in the glass and bottle community.
You can see the letter that he said there seems to be no other example of it.
Be well and stay safe out there in this heat.
Best wishes to you and all of your loved ones always!
