    MA antique registered vehicles are exempt from annual inspections, but there are restrictions on their use.

    Find a different inspection station. I may know of one in the 508 area code. Read up on Mass. 540CMR 4.04 (10)(d) there is no mention of how they work, only that they must work.

    Are you using a stock type HEI? Have you looked inside the cap for something odd/out of place like a messed up post?

    Maybe try to find a mid 80's school bus fiberglass tilt nose and copy the tilt mechanism.

    I haven't been able to find out what/who's bulbs I used and I don't have the truck any more. I kinda remember the bulbs had a built in resistor, not sure it was a few years ago. You may try to put the bulbs in 180* and see what happens.

    My vote is for the wrong type of LED 194 bulbs. I had a similar issue and solved it with the "correct" LED's. :cheers:

    It's been a while since I did my '74, but I kinda remember using a Dremel to expose the screw holes, then re-installed the dash pad.

    Did you test fit with a torque converter in place? If so, maybe it wasn't fully seated.

    I had a 6.5 TD with an air in the injector lines issue. It turned out to be the metal fuel pick-up line at the tank had developed a pin-hole from crap setting on it.
