    I found a set of rebuilt ones for not much more than I can get all the parts for. I was being lazy and considering just getting those if I could use them.

    yes, the whole assembly. Ive seen where some things indicate they can be used interchangeably, but I dont have the two types to compare. thanks for the link. Found that yesterday when searching, but it still doesnt say if they are interchangeable

    do the different years interchange between them? I know there are one piece gaskets, two piece, one bolt, two bolt, etc differences, but if I came across a 2 bolt vent window thats in better shape than my one, bolt set, would they interchange in my 87 doors?

    supposedly there is a template available on this site somehwere, but I cannot find it. From searching, it was the template Merrick used and now sells.

    anyone put yukon seats n a K5. Seems all the floors are a littl different from my searching. Subs have a raised floor for example. Trying to put seats with the integrated belts into my kids blazer for comfort and safety. EDIT+++ sorry I put this in the wrong section.

    good point. Cruise, to my knowledge, is not hooked up, but I will need to double check. thanks for info on TV cable. Sounds like it may be a bad accelerator pedal. Ill have to look into lubricating and/or replacement

    My son just told me that after driving on the freeway for a while, he will have this intermittent problem: When he lets off the throttle, he feels like the pedal will "suck down" and the truck will accelerate. When he steps on the brake, it will stop. I have not witnessed this problem myself...

    To close the loop on this for anyone in the future........ struggled with this for a while. Kept getting worse. Decided to swap to a duramax filter. Went with a Dorman piece from Amazon, and couldnt get it to seal. Returned that and went with one from the DMAXX store for a few dollars more...

    swapped to a new head from the dmaxx store on line. Overnight shipping from Nv to Ca. Had a chance to install today, and problem solved. thanks for the help

    o ring looks like its fine. This is my first time, and directions say to go until oring makes contact and them make additonal quarter turn or something. My housing feels like it is contact the head before the oring.

    when I try to install the fuel filter (which is covered in diesel now, so I dont want to grab since Im clean...) it will mount up fine, but leaks between the filter and filter head where the O-ring is supposed to seal it. I did fill the filter before trying to install, but I cant imagine that...
