CPP Upper Control Arms and Shims

I've got the stock rallys on there right now, which is the main reason I bought the CPP tubular lowers. But, I might go bigger later.

CPP Upper Control Arms and Shims

Thanks for the reply. I just started on my 5/7 static drop. All my projects tend to snowball and I never seem to be satisfied, so I am sure I'll go 6/8 in the future. I don't expect to receive noticeable improvements in drivability but my thought is, at only $250 more, if they save me from...

CPP Upper Control Arms and Shims

Your posts have been incredibly helpful in guiding me through lowering my truck. Thank you. Not surprisingly, the ball joints on my 45 year old UCAs are bad. Question: are tubular UCAs worth it? A new set of stock UCAs would run me roughly $150 from RockAuto. A new set up CPP tubular UCAs is...

    Leftovers - Part 2

Pretty sure I need that block off panel. Any idea on shipping to 20175?

    transmission oil change

Ok, so I changed the fluid and put a new filter in. Now I am having the opposite problem: instead of failing or being slow to engage, it feels like its jumping into gear too hard when I shift, both from a cold start when parked and when driving down the road going into higher gears. Any...

    Air Conditioning Delete

@Powerhouse Ranch did you leave the vents on the inside the same? My truck had A/C but I am sure it hasn't worked in decades. I pulled all the vents that were (what I thought) "just" for AC on the dash to clean it up a little, but I am wondering if those blew heat as well. I would love do what...

    Air Conditioning Delete

There seems to be a ton of dust getting in my cab. I know the windows and doors could use new seals, but this is dust that is under the dash and even behind the plastic over the gauges. The truck has A/C but it's disconnected. I am wondering if there is dust getting in through the disconnected...

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

Shoot, thanks for the info. Looks like the 6.5s have the same backspace as the 8s. 7” wide has a 3.625 bs, so looks like you’re right. Back to looking at 20 inch wheels I guess… Sorry to hijack the thread @bluex!

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

79 C10, dropping 5/7. Looking at 15" rims (I did buy the tubular control arms based on your previous recommendations) - is 4.5" backspacing/0 offset on a 15x8 going to give me wheel clearance issues? As for tires, I am thinking 255/60s all around. ETA: read some more threads and other forums...

    Digital Gear Indicator

I tore it down to replace a few things in the column and then reassembly was when this breakage occurred. I was just too rough on the 45 year old plastic. I might give it another shot if I get bored, but this digital indicator has peaked my interest. It is fine...for now. We all (should) know...

    Digital Gear Indicator

Thanks, let me know if you get around to installing it. I’ve been thinking about going all digital for my gauges. I’m torn, though, because I do like the old gauges (even if they don’t work, haha).

    Digital Gear Indicator

Anyone ever installed one of these? Either Jegs or Intellitronix, or any other brand? https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/41499/10002/-1 The plastic “bowl”/shroud on my steering column that the shift indicator wire clips into is broken where it snaps into the metal part of the steering column...
