Rustoleum is a great brand. I use their paints all the time, they have always produced good results for me. Think about getting an airless sprayer from a good brand ( german Wagner etc. ) . Maybe you can get a local machine shop to make up some hub centre adapters for the wheels ? We have a local shop that is happy to make up all sorts of weird stuff. just make sure they use the right grade of steel ( nothing too soft )..- Fat 454

look at swapping in a rear 14 bolt full floater 8 lug with an lsd ( can be found cheap from a wrecked C20 ). My 10c - when painting wheels ABSOLUTELY you must paint the inner surface. I have just had a set of 8 x 15 rims blasted as they had heavy rust, but I hate throwing good stuff away ( apparently 8 lug 15's are difficult to find now ?? ). Adding 4WD, where does the shifter go?
stupid thought - but could you not use the floor hump from the old cab to located the shifter holes? If not, I would set the floor up for a bolt in high hump. Then you can find a couple in the junkyard and refine the position using card templates or similar.- Fat 454

Best media for blasting the body
Hi - really don't want to be the "safety nanny" here but... DO NOT use regular sand for any abrasive blasting. When the sand hits a surface it fractures and the resulting finer silica powder if inhaled can cause respiratory diseases like silicosis. Better options would be garnet ( silica free )...- Fat 454

1987 Suburban v1500 - what separates the v1500 and v2500?
Hi only real difference between the rated trucks that you cannot change with bolt-ons ( diff, axles etc. ) is the frame itself.
