Yes, I know. But the combination of the specific car seat they have, together with the factory belts, just will not work together. Plus, getting the seat (and child, still rearward facing) in and out when secured with the belt is a real pain. I use the belt to secure the child seat in the back... -

Fender and Hood panel fitment
I would start with loosening the bolts holding the hinge to the hood, on both side (with some extra hands). There is adjustment in the holes that will allow you to 'twist' the hood some to try and align it better with the fenders.- dhenderz

I didn't make the conversion. Rebuilt the factory window. Still doesn't fit the best, and vent window still doesn't seal very well. -

Low Hump to High Hump Conversion
I made the exact same swap when restoring the 77 K10 (build thread on this site) using a 77 C10 cab that was more rust free. You will need to weld in the nuts so the larger tunnel will bolt into place. Otherwise pretty simple job. Leaving the legalities aside, there are places on the web where... -

If you are ok with selecting from a very limited number of pre-mixed colors (think - red, black, yellow, white, orange), then you can't go wrong with Southern Polyurethanes. I have used their black. Looking at car lifts
I have a Bendpak 10,000lbs 2 post lift in my shop. Love it. You do need to be very careful about what you buy. There are a number of good brands. But there twice as many cheapo ones. Watch the videos Bendpak has on their web site comparing the structural integrity of their lift v the cheap ones... -

Stepside Fender to Bed Seam Sealant
