Thats awesome to know. That saves me having to figure out what to buy.
And i actaully have the old pressure plate off my 98, it might work. It looks like the one in your picture.
My buddy has a c20 service rig with ridiculously under geared rear. He cruises around and does burnouts in low.
We've done 140 in that thing on the highway.
My 86 is 4:10 rear, and i use low gear 1st alot. Usually around the yard or when towing. Not usually in town just driving around. In my burb it should be even more usable.
On that truck, the stock 98 flywheel was offset really far to the block.
The difference between a 98 and 95 flywheel was almost a half inch.
Between the flywheel, amd pressure plate change, it was about inch and an eighth thicker..
Ah interesting.
I was wondering.
I just recently replaced the NV4500 in my 98 with one from a 95. I figured one for one swap, be easy. Nope.
95 is an external slave, 98 is an internal slave cylinder. Required me to get a new flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate.
Bellhousings don't swap...
I gotcha..
I have the orginal 11inch clutch and pressure plate off my 305. I should bolt them up to a flywheel and put them in the trans, see if they fit well..
Good to know on the clutch.
Bummer on the housing...
A friend of mine told me the computer should be okay, because 92 was a dumbed down system electrically. Only think i was curious about was speedometer.
Hmm, tempting. If i can find one locally, id be interested in yours if for sale...
Thanks. Same to you.
Well i never had any paperwork on the vette bought for the engine, i was told 86.
I only know it was a TPI L98, and it had the big pattern.
When i put the engine in, i found a flywheel that was identical is size and style to the original one off the 305, except big bolt...
