No,but you do need to change your front diff gears to match the rear.

I've had several 14ff's with 3.73 gears. Actually more of them than 4.10 gears.

Maybe check the radiator real good for flow. Possibly flush it for good measure? What about belt routing, I've seen serpentine belts...

I would, instead, switch to a 14 bolt Full Floating rear end with 13 inch brakes. More bang for the buck. J. B.
