So in the ever continuing saga of what can I unintentionally do wrong with this project. I have gotten both Reid knuckles, axel shafts, wheel locks replaced and hubs reinstalled. Yesterday I removed and installed the new steering box and at that point was all ready to put the tie rod back on. It was then that I found out because I ordered top down knuckles (bottom bolt) that I don’t have enough clearance under my leaf springs to install it. So after talking with Offroad Design and giving consideration to loosening the U Bolt on the leaf springs to try and gain clearance I am waiting for them to send me collars that will allow me to drill out the knuckle and seat the collar changing this to a “bolt up” under mount tie rod system!! So a truck I thought I would be driving today is now at best will be next week. It did give me time to get rid of the old ugly LED headlights and replace them along with the old faded driving lights. So there is the bright spot (no pun intended). I have also taken the opportunity to order a replacement steering shaft so I can get ride of that rag joint. We will see how that goes. As always thanks for all the advice along the way.
