I looked everywhere for this info when I was researching the build and was unable to find anything descriptive. Hope this helps someone with their conversion. I have a 1988 3500 crew cab 4 speed squarebody. Putting in a cummins out of a 1992 with a getrag 360.
To covert to the first gen dodge clutch master, slave and factory dodge hardline all that is needed is a small conversion bracket. Did not need to cut the firewall. Made one side with a 1.4" square cut out for the dodge master to slip into, it was 1/8" steel. Made a bracket for the chevy side out of 1/4" steel. A small section of pipe with a 15 degree cut on one side, this points the dodge master down like the chevy one was. Then cut the rod off the chevy master, cut the eye off the dodge master and sleeve/weld to desired length.
Hope this helps.
