It seems my a/c works ok just doesn't blow hard. Can I use a newer model blower? I Believe I located the blower against the firewall on the passenger side. Is this correct?

Yes.

They slow down in time. A new replacement will work much better than your current thirty year old one.

Hope this helps!

check fuel pressure, just casue its new doesnt mean its good or makes the right amount of pressure..those tbi pumps were notorious about not being consistent.

I only assume that "hi speed" works okay? It's really easy to lose high speed blower in square trucks but luckily, it's also really easy to fix!
