I have 15x8 rims with 4.25 backspace to install on an 80' gmc suburban. The tires I got are 31x10.5 r15. These tires should fit the rims right? And would 1/4" spacers help clear the front tie rods?

Good to know.
The tires should fit the factory steel or aluminum rally wheels. My son-in-law has a Jimmy with 32x11.50's on the aluminum and there are no rub or fitment issues.

Nope tires will not fit 15x8 rims. You have to run those without tires.Sorry, the title made me do it.

If the rims you’re referring to are factory 15X8, they should fit and not need a spacer. But I’ve found that some Rallys (probably aftermarket) contact the tie rods. Check your fit with an empty rim before mounting your tires.
