I've seen lots of photos of this style of billet grille that seems to have 8-9 bars:

And I mean lots...

However, no matter *where* I seem to look, all I can manage to find are grilles of this style, which have 13-14 bars and are much thinner in profile:

I know it seems trivial, but I find the version with fewer bars much more to my taste. Plus, I had the idea to paint out alternating bars giving the illusion of the '79 style, and it would work way better with the fatter bars.

I've spent the last 4 or so days scouring eBay and all the usual parts places but I'm just finding zilch and approaching the point of giving up.

Does anyone know where I can actually find one of these grilles?

Thanks!

The top grille is a "tube" grille. They were chomed steel usually and were available with round tubes or square tubes. They may not be sold new anymore.

Maybe that term will help me on my search. But so far, it looks like you're right, they might not be around anymore...

Thanks Bucket.

Looks like it would be fairly easy to build on at home.

soooo, if you don't have a hood latch, how will you fit your fingers through to open the hood?

It's a PITA , my grandsons K-10 has that grille and it is tough to squeeze through to get it open. It will flex just enough to release.

Stull Industries used to make the tube grills. I had a round one in my '77 K5 and a Square one in an '85 truck.

Nice ride. I just did a search for Stull grilles and it seems that you are right on the money. Unfortunately they seem rather scarce these days. But at least now I know what to look for...

Awesome! I'll search for Deezee and see what comes up. Have any interest in parting with the one you got?

Those round and square tube grilles are from the 80s. They are made of steel and are chromed. I think the tubes are 1/4 or 1/2 tubes.
Not sure if anyone is making them but like posted earlier one brand was Stull.
If no one is producing them now best bet is eBay, Craigslist, Offerup, swap meets, flea markets.

I still have mine from my 84 S10 and just happened to have saved it in the box all these years. Lol.
