Hi Everyone.
I have recently imported a 1986 GMC k1500 from Cali to the UK.
I'm an aircooled vw guy and this is my first yank vehicle. I'm a builder by trade so not well clued up about mechanics etc.
My truck is lifted. It has 15x12" with a -77mm offset 4" back space wheels with 33/14.5 tires. they stick out past the fender approx 4"
The wheels are aroun 1/4 - 1/2 " away from fouling the tie rods (track rods).
In the UK the mot law says the tyres cant protrude past the fender.
What wheel/tire set ups are people running to keep the wheels inside the fender or is anyone using fender flares?
I bought 15x10" wheels with a -32 offset but they are hitting the tie rods, I could use spacers but this is going to defeat the object of getting a narrower wheel.
My next issue is thread difference from usa to uk, so may need to import bits and pieces.
Can anyone help me at all with advice, point me in direction of reliable sellers etc.
Many Thanks Alex
