I've been decluttering 40+ years of miscellaneous wiring in the 79 C30 Camper Special farm truck. Today, the question is: what is this magnetic thing hooked to a resistor looking thing, hooked to a hidden switch (in a cool location, ideas for the future).
Photos to show the switch (providing 12v) out to the mystery equipment.

My guess, some sort of old siren with the plastic horn broken off.

Does it have an add-on cruise control?

The box with the zip ties could be a motion detector or mercury switch. If it is still working you could test it with a multi-meter.

That's my guess too. Some type of mercury switch or "shock sensor" that would trigger the siren.

Only thing I can think of is P.O. had a mad max style blower and that switch turned it off and on.The zip tied item is a thermistor for over load protection, The under hood item is the remnants of the magnetic clutch for the blower drive.

Hi @Ricko1966... shouldn't it also had the connection wires ran to the bench seat jet ejection button also??? I'm just not seeing them, or could they might of been canceled???
