Just in case you don't know, you can take the fitting off the back of your old pump and put it in the LS pump and use stock hoses.

Nice looking install.
I’ll try to remember that. I just bought two different hoses for the bends in the hard line to see which one made for the better fit with everything. With mechanical fan and shroud, real estate is getting pretty slim in that area.

Thanks, I’m trying to take my time and do it right/nice the first time.

Working on the heater core. Tried all the aluminum units from all the sellers. Not a one was a different style. All had the pointy bottom and would not allow the case to close. I ordered up a Summit brass OE replacement. Bingo! Perfect fit with no air gaps, reasonable price and quick delivery. I'm happy and recommend if doing the job buy a brass one the first time.

Finally got some traction this weekend. I had asked about OE style Suburban rockers in another thread after buying inners and outers from LMC and discovering the outers stop before the bends at each end. Went to the local wreckers yesterday and they had a pretty solid truck, had screw holes from running boards but no visible rot, so they're going to cut the whole bottom edge off both sides for me, now I'll have OE rockers. Only need the rears but figured while they're at it...
Would have bought the whole body but Mrs won't let me tie up the garage with winter coming. Oh well.
Also grabbed the entire outer part of the dash from an early OBS truck, minus the glove box assembly, so I can start figuring out how to get it in the Suburban. It's 1-1/2" narrower than the 'Burb dash, and I'm not sure how it'll sit over the column, but it's already a bit beat up so won't feel bad experimenting. Saw a funny window sticker too.

I got my brass unit from summit as well. Why make something that doesn't fit properly, let alone buy it.

Doesn’t look like much to the in-initiated but I got the power steering hoses hooked up from the LS to the C10 steering box. Started installing some shorty headers and found out after doing one side that they lined up directly with the manual clutch linkage. Had to start over with the stock cast iron manifolds and those clear the linkage, although I am going to have to get a bit creative with the first bit of exhaust.

Also got the battery tray locked down and the ECU mounted. Also got the c10 oil pressure sender mounted on the oil cooler feed and return provision on the oil pan, not the best location but it gives me a reading and I can see quickly if something goes south. The C10 temp sensor is in the passenger side head on the LS. So I should have gauges.

I am getting far enough along on the swap that I need to make myself a list of the things I need to wrap up

Getting it ready for Cruisin the Coast which begins October 1st. Changed the oil, all the little things that aren't worth talking about but we have to do.

Since I have an Antique license plate I am not required to have a state Inspection Sticker. So I ordered a vintage 1987 Louisiana State Inspection Sticker. It may not look like much but I think it is a cool finishing touch.

I FINALLY got my headlights and taillights working again. It took a long time to find it but it was a broken terminal in the firewall junction block.

I also got my tail lights working today!
It had been nearly a year without them.

Right on man! I’m right there with you, mine had been out since last summer (‘22). I’ve had the dash torn apart forever, it’ll be so nice to be able to put it back together.
