My 85 bumper is original / untouched. Looks like a dull gray (seen these like this in yards too).

Chris has it. That is the painted step bumper, all squares. Yes, early painted front bumpers were off white. The two did not match.

Wow, that fender card is clean. Is that original? Way to go on that one man. ;)

If Indian is racist then there goes just about all of my alma matres and team loyalties not to mention some friendships. Pride and heritage as I see it.

Everything is racist.....to a racist. Loonies have nothing else to whine about and have no heritage of their own.

The decal is original - the one in the glove box. Going to remake it anyways when its painted this Fall / next Spring. :hat:

Here’s what the painted bumper looks like. Doesn’t look bad I guess...would prefer it to look like whatever come on it

The painted step bumper on my '85 was argent silver, which like other's here have said was kind of gray looking. Apparently they were only available on a new truck because after the accident we could only get a chrome bumper to replace it.

That's specific to an '88-'98 stepside. They are actually hard to find, or at least they were. Maybe they are repopped now. The cutouts on top is what makes the difference.

Ok - I see it now.

I could use a nice straight GMT800 rear bumper, so I was probably fixating a bit.

I could use one too, with the hitch and all. Solid ones are a rare find in these parts.
