I'm headed to my nearby auto paint supply tomorrow that may be able to tell me, but does anybody know what color this truck is? I thought maybe yellow beige or cameo beige, but it doesn't seem brown enough and too white for a beige. No big deal if no one knows, it could be a bad repaint at one time. Deciding whether to paint it sand/ light tan and straighten out body.

I don't know if it's just me or my computer, but it looks like a very light pistachio color in the photo. It looks like the hood came off a white truck, but everything else visible is original to the truck or has at least been there a while. There was color called polar white that was an off white type thing. The code is WA5704, but I'm not sure if it was available on the pickups. Check your RPO sticker in the glove compartment. It may have a paint code on it stylized in the same WAXXXX format. Here's the link for the 1986 GM Truck paintref page and a picture of that polar white color. Those codes are for the light duty line, but G Vans and Astros are included.

Looks like a special order fleet color. Or it was just a repaint in a different color. Does the dash match?

If it were a little darker, it would look like that light forest service green color.

I'm seeing a white hood, a very light minty green body and dirty/crusty rockers. I also sense that the truck has basic but badass qualities :)

Honestly it looks like your bed is a different color than the rest of the truck, once you exclude all the dirty and dingy parts.

If your goal is to match the paint, I would not worry so much about what the color is called. Any competent paint shop should be able to match it with a spectrometer or spectrophotometer system. If you are paying a premium price and they don't know what you are talking about then I'd move along and look elsewhere, otherwise a lot of paint mixing places can do the match up if your painter is budget oriented.

I'd trust that over someone's eyes because color can be very subjective from one person to the next... I think like 60 % of men are color blind to some degree and then also things look different over monitors and digital photos..

unfortunately, I've run across more than a couple of spectrometers that were color blind too.

I haven't seen one that was accurate yet.

Me either. They will give you a ballpark match that might look ok if you are wearing sunglasses on a rainy day.

15 watt light bulbs and a gallon of whiskey don't hurt either.
