That appears to be just a 3 speed shifter, which is all one needs and definietly a unicorn nowadays. The OD cable is not part of the shifter, neither is the governor or solenoid. And the transmission in those photos is not an OD 3 speed, just a regular long tailshaft 3 speed. Mine is 3-on-the-tree, the od actuating cable is mounted under the dash, and the toggle is mounted between the cluster and the door, but all of that can be installed anywhere one desires. The cable is there no matter what. The toggle is only there if the system isn't complete.

Yeah, the guy who took the pictures mounted it on a non-OD 3 speed to demonstrate what the bracket looked like. It has a notch in it to go around the solenoid.

It's been a while since I saw the transmission, had to look at some photos. Not being knowledgeable about floor shifter bracketry, I assume the bracket you say is notched to clear the solenoid is the one that runs parallel with the linkage. So, if one bought a non-od mystery shifter, or a new shifter, one would have to modify said bracket to clear the solenoid. Is that correct?

I found a picture of the muncie 3 speed OD I have for reference. I see that my transmission also has the toggle switch with it like you mentioned.

I would like to drive one that was setup with all the parts to see how it works. From what I've read, once you're rolling above 28-31 mph it's supposed to operate similar to an automatic for around town driving in second gear and second gear-od,because of the governor on the passenger side. 2nd-od is something like 1.15:1, a great ratio. And then if you're going to get on the highway/freeway, all you need to do is rev it up in 2nd-od and shift into 3rd which will be in od because of the solenoid being actuated. Need to pass, floor it, and the kickdown switch momentarily disengages the solenoid, making it direct drive, and when the throttle is let off or pressure let off the drivetrain, the solenoid is already reengaged so it automatically goes back into 3rd-od and you haul a$$ down the road

We've been storing our old '68 C50 winch truck in the shed for the past 3 years, but have decided to sell it. Fired right up this evening, so I brought it back to the shop. No brakes though, so we have to look into that....350 SBC with less than 10,000 miles on it, 5 speed and pto driven winch with gin poles to lift whatever heavy thing you want. 141,000 miles on the truck. What do you guys think it would be worth? Cab has the typical rust for these trucks and the paint is pretty bad, especially on the driver's door. Wood needs to be replaced on the flat bed too.
