want to raise front end C20.

I been thinking about leveling out the front of my C20.

Then I figured that it looked ok abd no big deal.

But then this morning my buddy Ryan goes "Damn nick when you passed me yesterday your truck sounded mean as ****! You gonna raise the front end to level it out?"

Lol. So now I'm thinking about it again.

Obviously its 2wd 3/4 ton. Can I add 1 ton springs? Would they fit and would they add lift? I could cut them down just a hair to get the inch, 1.5" that I need.

Any other way?

If it were me I would lower the rear so it sits level. It would be much easier than messing with the front end. You could use a drop shackle. If you really want to be cheep, then drill out the rivets on the rear spring shackle mount. Set your ride height, then re-dill the mounting holes and secure with grade 8 bolts. You could also remove a leaf from the spring packs. It all depends on how much you need to level the truck.

I thought about that, but I tow a big boat and don't want to pull any leafs or lower the rear in any way. I'd rather jack the front up

Never tried to lift a 2wd in the front so I got no options for you. I remember back in my youth they made these little doo hickeys you could shove between the coils in your spring and lift the front end but doubt you want to go that cheesy route.

Personally I like the stance of 3/4 ton trucks. Even the 60's series 3/4 ton trucks have a cool stance with the rear a couple inches higher than the front. If you lift the front and then haul something heavy in the bed, or tow something that causes the rear to droop, your front end will then pointing up. If it were me I would leave it alone.

Yeah the little cups you put under the springs I have heard could fall out under rough conditions.

I just don't like my truck being called a pawpaw truck lol. People think that since its a longbed they automatically write it off

Stop worrying about what other people think of your truck. If you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

My dark blue and gold 94 has extremely rusty cab corners, and a red hood. People make fun of it all the time... But those same people are the same ones who you'll be the first they call when they need to move something, or are stuck somewhere.
