I have an 85 C10, short bed, 5600 GVWR, 2WD, 700r4, was originally a 6.2. I bought the Moog 534G u joints for the driveshaft but they wouldn't work. The driveshaft had the original plastic injected rings for the u joints. I would have only been able to get one of the inner snap rings in on the Moog 534G.

I'm looking up the parts as if it still had the 6.2 in it.

Anyone have a part number for the driveshaft u joints that they used?

DANA/Spicer 53147X for me. You heated them up to make the plastic ooze out of there and release the old joint to be driven out? Also, don’t touch it after it cools off! I’ll admit I have sensitive skin, but it irritated the **** out of me!

Yes, heated it up to get the plastic out. I'll look up that number. I need the ones that have the clips on the inside.

Those do have the clips inside, and they’re a serviceable joint.
